His extensive musical talents are also highly sought after in the film industry where had has become well known for having scored over a dozen films including; Speed, The Magic of Flight, At Sea, Eureka, The Living Sea (in collaboration with Sting for a 1996 Academay Award Nomination).Jim Brandmeier is an accomplished jazz flutist, composer and producer. He has written, performed and/or produced music with jazz legends such as Miroslav Bitous, Lew Tabackin, Herbie Mann, Pat Metheny, Jose Feliciano, Gato Barbieri, Spyro Gyro, Gary Burton and Grant Geissman. He has written and produced music for numerous television and feature films such as ER, The Sentinel, Party of Five, The Arrival and many more.
