55 Miles is a healthy dose of ‘good feeling’ finger styled guitar at its most intimate and exposed. Mark Kostrzewa's debut CD features 16 original guitar compositions performed on both steel string and nylon string taking the listener on an exciting journey through a diverse musical terrain. Mr. Kostrzewa draws deep from the heart weaving a soudscape of Brazilian, Latin, Blues genres with a folksy New Age styling and lush fingerpicked textures. A few of the tracks feature light vocals, bass and percussion. Recorded over a 6 month period all the songs were captured in their purist form in complete takes with no manipulations.
